Special USIH-Oriented Issue of The Journal of Southern Religion

Oakland University's Luke Harlow, who is a co-editor of the Journal of Southern Religion with Louisiana State University's Mike Pasquier (also of the Religion in American History blog), want USIH readers to be aware of JSR's newest issue. Why? It includes a review forum on Daniel Williams's God's Own Party. The forum includes pieces by Randall Balmer, Darren Dochuk, J. Russell Hawkins, and Mark Silk, and a response by Williams.

Harlow pointed out that this issue contains other features of potential interest to USIH folks:

-A roundtable on class in early twentieth-century southern religion, with contributions and responses from Ken Fones-Wolf (West Virginia University), Richard Callahan, Jr. (University of Missouri-Columbia), Jarod Roll (University of Sussex), Alison Collis Greene (Mississippi State University), and John Hayes (Augusta State University).

-An article by Chad Seales (University of Texas-Austin) on baptisteries and modernity.

-An author's reflection on _Evangelizing the South_ by Monica Najar (Lehigh University).
